We’re in Tennessee right now, getting ready to photograph a wedding on Saturday, and these were two of Leandra’s favorites as she was working through Kathy and Charlie’s wedding on our long, ten-hour drive down here… and I really like ‘em, too! We’ll post the rest within the next few days!

katherine: the lens flare on the lower photo looks like a heart... please tell me you planned that.

I think it’s important for a couple to be able to laugh together, to have a good time just by being together, even when there isn’t an activity planned. I don’t know this, but I’m guessing that Hillary and Ron are pretty good at this. During their session a couple of weeks ago, they seemed so relaxed with each other and laughed so easily together. We had a wonderful time capturing their interactions and getting to know them a bit better before their upcoming wedding.

I love this set.

And… a favorite. Look at that light!

We have really enjoyed following some film-shooters’  blogs lately, and we love their use of sepia. We shoot digital, so of course our sepia is done in post-processing, but we still love the effect.

Cora, Ron’s daughter, came along for the session, so we couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of the three of them together. Grant’s favorite.

Cora was a big help here (see her in the background?). She happily agreed to scare and corral the birds in our direction to add to the shot.

Ok, can I have two favorites? Grant took this photo, and I just can’t stop looking at it! He is so good at seeing all the layers of a scene and composing it perfectly.

To end the post, here’s a photo from Cora! I let her hold my camera at the end of the session and I have to say, you two might have a budding photographer on your hands!

Hillary and Ron, we really enjoyed your session and spending time getting to know the two of you and Cora. We are so excited to see you again for the wedding in September!
