Grant and I love engagement sessions. We love the chance to spend unhurried time with these future brides and grooms whose wedding days they open up to us. Nicole and Chris live in Arizona, so we were happy to find a time to squeeze in this session with them and get to know them a bit more. We met them two days before their session, at Nicole’s sister Katie’s wedding (the rest of those pictures are coming soon!); later that weekend we headed out to Pickerel Lake in Rockford, where Nicole and Chris could sit back and relax, enjoying the sun and each other.

This moment always makes me smile.

The light in this part of the woods was amazing. Pair that with some whispered endearments and sweet kisses… well, here’s what you get. The first image is mine, and the second is Grant’s.

Nicole and Chris are expecting a little baby in August, and you can bank on seeing some pictures of the three of them together after their wedding in October!
